Have you ever been charged?!

From what I hear smelling like diesel fuel could get the hogs to come to ya. I've yet to be charged. Had one ran toward me to about ten yards snap his teeth at me the run off. Had a sow with piglets come within 10 yards of me very mad but she gathered her young and ran off.

On a guided hunt at the jack ranch we took 5 pigs and 3 out of 5 charged. One charged after a 30/06 Barnes tsx exploded both lugs and the heart. Another charged after a 243 Barnes tsx broke his back and a 25/06 Barnes blew a huge hole in his neck. He charged like he had just been woke from a nap. They are truly tough animals.

I was almost charged by my first hog. My initial shot only wounded him, I chased him into the brush, spotted him 10 yds in, readied my pistol and closed the distance, he started clacking, lowered his head to charge, bang! 9mm JHP right above the left eye, he gargled his last breath dropped and started doing the funky chicken.
