Headcount on HAWGS at FHL for Sunday 1/14/07

FHL had a good weekend- they pulled 6 out of there yesterday, sightings have been reported to much larger however(one Elk hunter said he saw like 100- we kinda laughed but maybe he wasn't delusional). Anyway, I'll post tonite what the total take was for this holiday hunt.

Thsts good news! havent been up there in in along time. I guess I should give it a try. My huntin' buddy and I have been thinking about doing a hog hunt.

Hi - if you go to presidents day JHO hunt in hog forum that should get you going. Read the post by Larrysogla in there- tells you how to get the maps application rules- It's Fort Hunter Liggett and it's a public hunt program by the Army. And hi! Jesse's Rocks!

FHL is approx 25 miles or more above Paso Robles. East of Los Padres Forest. Is it Lockwood the closest kinda town and King City is north of it.

We did get 5 hogs at FHL this past weekend. News travels fast.

We worked on them all weekend and finally caught up to them on Sunday. Wts/ ranged from 80 lbs to the largest at 200 lbs. These were all field dressed and weighed at the FHL Game Shack. The best news is that we have 2 first timers and they both bagged. That was the best part of the weekend. Love it when a plan comes together.

with the pics from my group of friends I hunt with.

Congrats on the hog we got a hog the weekend before and saw alot of good signs. We are thinking of going this weekend. I just got the call from the Game processser that the hog was ready for pickup with $333.32 priced tag of Sausages. Kinda spendy.

i saw your hog in post you mentioned. nice hog. what did weigh in at? looks to be about 200 lb's.?

where did you bring it to get the sausage? freedom meats? they do great work,

but costly.

i would post some pics if i knew how to do it. tried last night but no luck.

The place I took it to is Los Gatos meat and smoke house in Los gatos. They do great work and been using them for the last 13 years but their prices went up and I just can't afford them anymore..He was around 200 lbs. in your email box. thanks for posting for me. the larger one was just like yours at 200 lbs. with over 2 1/2 " teeth.

i used to bring all of my meat to los gatos , but found out the same thing. expensive. freedom meats in watsonville is not much cheaper, but great quality.
