as far as the story goes.

we hunted all day on saturday and worked a few areas. finally late saturday we kind
of figured out where they were coming and going. hunted till dark on saturday night with no luck and came
back early sunday morning. i wish there was more to the story because the group i hunt with
usually need to work pretty hard to bag a few hogs. this time we go to the area and the pigs were
right in the open fields. we all jumped out and we had 5

confirmed kills by 7:30 am. there were 8 of
us and 2 of the hunters were first time hog hunter. they both bagged one each. that was
the best part of the hunt.

the week before i was telling a few friends that we hear stories about people bagging hogs
while driving the roads and seeing a hog and shooting it with one shot at 500 yards right
in the head. that was about the same time i said " that never happens to me". how come i do not
see them in the open and get shots like that? well i stand corrected.

the largest hog was a boar with about 2 2/4 " teeth. weighed in at 200 lbs field dressed. the others ranged
from 80 to 140 lb'er.

all in all was a great time and looking foward to a few more hunts like this in the near
future.

hntboars im glad to see you guys got into em. I think I met you guys at new years at the motel. I was the guy that shot that hog in the head. are you going presidents day?

yes that was me and my friends when you came back that night. i met you and your buddies.

we missed them the next day but we came back this time to get em.

i am planning on going presidents weekend if all goes well. i plan it but wait till
i get a report on what areas are open.

i mentioned your hunt in my previous post. i said that you came up and had this hog
in the back and saw it at 500 yards while you were driving and shot it right in the head.

after you should me your hog i was telling my buddy that night that i never get them
in front of me right in the open. well, not true anymore.

how did your buddies do the next day? i talked to them after you left and they were
going out on thier own. i did not see after that night.

they didnt see anthing.they were pretty discouraged. I am glad to hear you guys got into them. that has to be some kind of record 5 hogs ina day on PL. I MIGHT see you there on presidents day. depending on weather,areas,etc. good luck if I dont see ya. (though it doesnt look like you need it.

There was no discouragement here, i have come home to many times empty handed to go on expectin a pig. By the way jaketos are we down for a round number 2 at liggett?

did you end up going to the same area or do you go somewhere else?

report today is that FHL is closed . i hope this is not a trend for us.

yup that was me me and my buddy were bbq'ing, which one would you be? We went to the area where they got the pig. I'll be there deer season most likely with jaketos and the crew.

i was the one with the red jeep and in the room next to you where you were bbq'ing.
you need to go back before deer season. that is not till august

you need to get those hogs you saw .

huntin fool I want to go in feb. sometime. I will talk to preston and bill to see if we can go. hopefully the jeep is done by then.I dont need another hog but I want you guys to kill some. Iwill let you know if we go. see if daniel wants to go too.
