Just bought a new Mossberg ATR 270 and a leupold bore sighter. Lined the scope with the bore sight the best I could with but it won't line up perfectly with the both dials. It's maybe two turns out to the right and low. Both dials are turned as far as they can be to the right. I took a couple shots at 50 yards and it shot 4 inches low and 6 inches right. The scope is tightened down but I decided to remount it thinking it was off. Now it's all F up. bore sight is level but is way to the left of the scope (edge) now Any clues guys?

Often this is the case with cheaper rifles: the screws are not aligned to the bore properly. Also, a cheap scope lacks the range of adjustment that a more expensive scope has built in. But, putting a leupold on that rifle would be like gilding an M1 Abrams tank. There are Leupold bases, standard, that allow for windage adjustment at the rear mounting screw. This is your only hope. Do they make bases for your rifle? Who knows?

Thanks for the reply. I got it figured outlast night. Went out and shot today. Shot a group of 5 less than an inch apart at 100 yards.
