I'm going to the Los Altos Rod and Gun Club this coming Sunday to check my zero, and kill some paper and milk jugs in preparation for the upcoming JHO Tejon HamSlamORama.

Come on out, even if you're not going to Tejon.

I'll get about 9:30...Look for my Green Nissan Titan with the JHO sticker down at the 100 yd. range.

Cool, maybe we'll see you up there. I'm not doing Tejon, but I'll be picking up my new rifle this weekend and I'm hoping to get up there Sunday morning to sight it in. If we make it, there will be two of us, probably in a green Silverado with a DU duck head on the back window.

I'm not sure about timing yet, but we'll probably get there between 10 and 11.

I've never been to Los Altos R&G before. They sell targets and what not, yes? I figure we'll bring our own ammo, but was planning on picking up targets there.

Rancho, I am going to hit Chabot on Sunday. I have a busy day and the extra driving is out for this weekend.

hunt hard: There are lots of ranges in the Bay Area, and pretty much everywhere. Here is a link to some archery ranges:

http://archeryweb.com/archery/clubs-n.htm

I am a member of Kings Mountain Archers just outside Redwood city. It is a great range as is the raneg in Pacifica (San Francisco Archers). Both have walk around target courses set in the redwoods. Lots of uphill and downhill shots in a great setting. Briones is nice too. Check out the link and I'm sure you will find a target range close to where you live.

Hey Rancho,

I can't spend the whole day away on Sunday, but I could spare a few hours in the morning.

Why not gas up the new monstrosity and come on over to Chabot on Sunday. Hell, I'll bring the stove and whip up some lunch after shooting for anybody who'd like to drop in. And if beverages were legal in the park, I'd have some of those too.

Speck, I'll be there at 9am weather permitting. If you remember can you bring that knife along so I can clean and sharpen it for the POR? Thanks.

No can do.

I have a free pass for a specified time, and lots of gunpowder to light off...

Too bad you can't make it Speck - I was going to give you coordinates to my new hot spot at Tejon.

Oh well...Mebbe next time.

Crap. Tikka forgot to ship the scope rings with the rifle, and the dealer didn't have any in stock so no new gun for me this weekend. Looks like we'll be up there next weekend sighting things in and making plastic jugs explode.

Hope you have/had a good time.

300 Win Mag - 200 grain TSX's at 2975fps.. Shooting like a laser.
.444 marlin Timber Carbine... 300 grain cannon loads all set.
30-06 - 168 grain TSX's.. Check.
.44 mag..Shooting sweet.

There's a big boar at Tejon, and right now - for reasons he can't quite yet understand, he has become quite nervous.
