Nice,I think European mounts look better than a shoulder mount.

i agree i think european mounts are the way to go. they are cheaper, don't take as much room up on the wall, and are maintaince free compared to shoulder mounts. i seal all my skulls with two coats of mod podge matte and seal the antlers with krylon non yellowing matte sealer. that way it is easy to wipe the dist off the skulls. you guys hsould at least try they still make the skulls look very natural and don't even notice it on them.

Great stuff.I'm begining to be quite partial to the european mount.I hadn't realy seen them done untill i found this place.I'd be glad to save a dollar or two and still have something beautifull to display.A mate of my fathers has just got his mounts back from Affrica. All were neck mounted, but to be honest the best mount was the european mount of a warthog. With big white tusks and scull it was the best thing i've seen for awhile.I'll go down and get a few pics soon.

PS:Those sculls are awesome.

Hey Big racks!!
Do you use degreeser after you have boiled them?
As a substitute for bleach?
Or does that pickle the meat, for meat removal?

They are real nice sculls,i'm just wondering about the steps you take to get them so?
I normally boil then bleach.Only the rancid scull i bleached had some of the corronet (base) in the solution so half of it went white(shame shame shame). The way i did it just seemed abit harsh and fast.

Taz,alot of guys don't boil anymore.Using the "Dawn" dishsoap and water base work better...It just takes alot longer to process, usually 40 to 60 days..............Bleach eats away the skulls(not recommended anymore)...

i let my beatles take all the meat off the skull.
then i degrease them in the water with dawn for arround a month, (time will vary)
after they are degreased i whiten them with HYDROGEN PEROXIDE (not bleach)
dont have time to explain it all right now, but let me know if you have any questions
