I've been told by folks up North that Coyote calls (squealing rabbits) also pull in hogs like magnets. Haven't tried this yet, but next trip around dusk, will try it.

Rudy,

Try a search on hog calls. I know there was a thread or two on this topic in the past, and if I remember right, one of them had a lot of opinions and experiences.

Rudy,

I bought two calls from Primos: the Hog Grunter and the Hog Squealer.

During a recent hunting trip I used them extensively, but no pigs came a-runnin'. That would indicate four things: 1) I don't know what I'm doing; 2) no pigs were in the area to hear me; 3 ) a combo of 1 & 2; 4) other factor(s) I know nothing about.

But one thing I learned for sure: it is a whole lot more comforting to hunker down and use a hog call and get no results, than to use no hog call and get no results. Somehow doing something besides wandering around patiently and quietly is very comforting.

Good Luck !!!

Carl
