hog calls?

i bought a hog squealer and i am not sure if i am useing it right , can any one give any sugestions or tips on how often to use it or the length of the squeal.

I bought a grunter and squealer too, mainly because they were about $8 each so I said what the hell. I used the grunter last week. No hogs came in but I know there were some within ear shot (I could heard them every now and again in their beds). They never left and did come in closer over time though I suspect that was just the normal routine and I was in between thier beds and where they were probably going to feed. As the the sqealer, you should read the post by Speckmisser in the thread about "A weekend at Choppers". He relays some first hand info about another guy using the sqealer and hogs bailing out of the area pretty quick.
