well I finely got my first kill yesterday, it's been a bit over a year going after the pigs and been all over , I got connected with some privet property just 5min. from my house, first time their and on the tour of the land we came across some hogs up the hill about 200 something yards up, i got out of the truck and the wind was perfect, walked up on the blind side of the hill and over to them, one came out in the open at 20 yards and thwack:hog chewing::archer green:, arrow goes in and pig squieals and one of the outer ones come running over to fight and I knock another arrow draw and then, nope I got enough work with one, let him go for another time, I start walking over and then they know whats up , but looked like the bigger one was thinking about come say hi to me, so i was ready to whack him if need be, to top it off the road was down hill and he roled 3/4 of the way and crawled to the road, had to give him one more shot and he was done.
got about 100 lbs of meat out of it and the bacon is in the brine:smiley-mouse:

thanks guys, I tried some of my wild hog bacon a little early and it not bad, I'm going to giv it 3 mor days sitting in the brine freeze it up a little so i can cut thin slices but it was kinda like those bags of bacon chunks / ham, I got to get the nitrates it helps with flavoring, smells funny cooking ,like a hog?, but tastes good
