Wow wow wow wow wow! That was freeking awesome video brother. Super congrats on finally getting your ghost hog. That's a sick air gun set up. The way things are going u might be able to throw a silencer on that bad boy if they decided to pass that decision soon. U heard that they are really thinking about letting florida Hunters use silencers on thier guns didn't u. Well I hope someday I will have a chance to share a hunt with u Bullfrog. nice shot too! Pork chops baby!.....tra

Yes, I'm excited about it. It will be great for deer hunting.

Silencers can already be used for hogs because hogs are not game animals. The current regulation forbids silencers on firearms to harvest game animals only. Hogs aren't game, therefore I'm ok if I wanted to take a .308 out and add a suppressor and kill a hog. Furbearers are also not game in Florida. Squirrels and rabbits are game, therefore a suppressed firearm cannot be used to take them unless the law changes. However, because my air gun isn't a firearm it falls out of that regulation. Therefore I can use a suppressed firearm or suppressed airgun to take hogs and furbearers, and a suppressed air gun or an unsupressed firearm to take squirrels and rabbits. Deer and turkey are still off limits for air guns as of now.

This air gun also falls out of ATF's jurisdiction according to a 2010 Federal case. Therefore I can suppress my air gun without registering it. It actually is suppressed already. It has a shroud over the barrel that gives it the appearance of having a bull barrel, when in reality that thick looking barrel is actually an integrated suppressor with baffles and an air stripper that forces air back down the length of the barrel during the shot. The ping you hear in the shot on video is quiet and doesn't travel beyond a few feet from the gun. The camera on the scope cam is sitting right over the hammer so it seems louder on video than it is in real life. Even so I could make the gun much quieter if I turned the power down to normal air gun levels. I also have an additional suppressor that screws into the shroud but I've stopped using it because it adds weight to the end of the gun and it really isn't necessary.

The whole reason I got into air guns was to create a weapon for quietly taking animals without other animals or people noticing.

Thanks for all the great info Bullfrog on gun specifics. Me being strictly an archer and bowhunter for the last 20 years I have no clue about any of that stuff and u definitely do. Florida is a cool place to hunt and fish that's for sure......tra
