Last week we had a Hog Hunting Expo in Halletsville, TX. Two day event dedicated solely to hogs. I attended and it was very good.

In conjunction with it ... the Texas Hog Doggers Association (TDHA) held a Hog Hunting contest. 40+ teams took their dogs and competed. 152 hogs were caught ... and a total of over 21,000 lbs of hog meat was donated to Hunter's Harvest which distributes the meat to homeless shelters.

Just thought I would give them a shout out and congratulations

Hey, that sounds pretty awesome! I'd like to attend one of those things one day... a hunting show just for hogs! Paradise!

Thanks for sharing RLL! I wish the media covered those types of events. While politicians claim they care about the poor, hunters the world over actually do something about it year after year (w/out increasing taxes).

Sounds like good times, 21,000 pounds is a lot of pork!

What all of the above said. Atleast the meat was used for a good cause. Unlike what nebraska did. They don't mention if the meat was used to feed the hungry or trashed.
