Well hot damn. I actually know MAJ Toon (was CPT Toon back then), he and my old boss used to do quite a lot of hunting on post. Something tells me the population of hogs is in serious trouble once my brigade redeploys. I fully intend to do my part, I just haven't decided what I'll do the killin' with :)

Man, I read that last week. I'm itchin to put a hurtin on the hogs, but 1. I'm a LOOOOONG way away (Columbus in in West GA, I'm in SE GA) and 2. I'd have to work on base.

That's too bad, 'cause I could stand to get paid to hunt hogs!

Yep, too bad my six years doesn't allow me to go on bases anymore, otherwise spring break would be spent down there, I basically grew up on that base.

You can still go on post plenty easy at Ft. Benning, but if you want to hunt you're going to have to be a guest of someone stationed there. I'll get in on the huntin' when I get back from Iraq, but when I ETS, I'll have to depend on my buddies that stay at the Home of the Infantry taking me as a guest if I ever want to hunt Benning again.

Same on Vandenberg. An eligible hunter may sign on a guest also.
