With Chopper not doing business anymore, a few buddies and i are at a loss. I'm looking for a place we can come pig hunting in California. A couple things we request:
1) No guide, just a place to hunt.
2) A place to stay (tents are fine)
3) 2 hog bag limit..

Don't know if there are any operations out there that can accomodate the above, but i figure this is a good place to start..All of us have been to California numerous times and want to keep the tradition going..Any advice is appreciated..

Thanks...

Also, Oregon, not to cut in on whatever it is Kirk has cooking, you might also contact Deedy at Bryson Resort. I know she offers day hunts, and her cabins are hard to beat after a day in the field.

I hunt Oregon alot...The amount of time it took me to kill two hogs in Oregon, i could have killed 80 of them in California...Plus, it's a great trip with good friends and thats what were looking for..Heck, that's how Arrowslinger and i came to know each other...Cant wait to get down there..

Get your butt down here for a regular POR at Tejon. Fits the bill except the double quota, but the archery POR's are $300 or so now.

I'll even pick your worthless butt up from the airport, though you will buy the beer!

I need an excuse to go hunt there more.

Tejon would be a good option. You get to hunt 2.5 days. Unguided, just access. It's an amazing place. You can camp on the Wild Pig Management hunts, or get your group together and book a private hunt. You get a cabin, food, and a Tejon rep to point you in the right direction with the private hunts.

It's always nice to be referenced in a hog thread. C'mon.

I wish I was. Probably not though.

You ought to jump on a plane with Nate and roll in for the festivities...At least then we would have something to laugh at forsure...Plus, you could teach my daughter some of those dance moves:)

Nate answered the question for ya, but I would have said it better!

Whoever is getting married is really lucky, a wife is a wonderful thing. At least that is what my wife tells me when she is busting my chops about, whatever.

I have been looking for a reason to do a second hunt there this year, especially considering the price is what it is. June 5-7 is an archery hunt on the South side, bring it. Don't tell the rest of these guys though, some of them are kinda nuts.
