Mora knives are the sharpest knives I've ever used.. I had my doubts.. $15.00 on ebay? gotta be a piece of crap right? NO! I sh*t you not I took a piece of oak about 2" x 2" and my frost mora cut into it so deep I didn't have the strength to finish the cut.. I widdled it down to nothing and it would still shave the hair off my arm. Holds the best edge I've ever seen..

Try it. For $15.00 what do you have to lose? YouTube frost mora knives.. interesting videos.

I have a few Mora knives but I use them on trips where I expect light use only (fishing, etc). They don't maintain their sharpness very long. For hard and heavy use, I'm a Bark River fan.

Obviously you have never had a hog on a gambrel! Some of us city boys have boned out/drug and quartered pigs. You will understand after your wife leaves for her other cousin.

I use these on a standard blade holder and they work like a charm. You can find both the replacement carpet hook blade and the holder at your local home depot.

That's why you have to find a wife that hunts with you! I have had plenty of hogs on a gambrel...I raise hogs.

knife.jpg My brother gifted this browning "hog hunter" knife for my birthday. I keep it on my hip everytime I go hog hunting. It is priceless to me. I use a small buck knife for gutting and skinning.

Carpet blades in box cutter and a tiny trout and bird blade work for me.

I made my knife from a old skill saw blade.....
Its my version of a russel camp knife...
I can do several pigs before needing to take a stone to blade...
you need to carry a steel and use it frequently...
typically the "foil" edge rolls over...the steel rolls it back to strait up...
try to avoid hitting the teeth...
learn to use only 1 knife...less bacteria
I like to pull it up into tree.you can debone entire animal on the spot..
I remove the H bone to seperate the hips. no sawsall or bonesaw..
takes a few years to learn where all the joints are and how hard you can push on bones.... 2013-05-18_06-06-36_360.jpg
