Was out scouting for the second duck opener yesterday evening and came across this boar. We estimated him about 200-225 lbs and 2-3 inch tusk. Sorry for the bad quality of the pictures, it was low light and he was 100 yards from us.

This hog was on public land and to my surprise he wasn't very spooky.
Wish I had the rifle in the truck

Yup, that is why I load only heavy bullets on my big game rifles(170 grn. on a 30-30, 165 grn. on a 30-'06, 180 grn. on a .300WM, 225 grn. on a .338 WM, 420 grn. on a 45-70). There are monster freaks out there that are 300 lbs. and up and are protected by a tough gristle plate on the shoulder/rib area and the shoulder bones are bigger than a deer. Need to anchor that sucker once you light up the primer 'cause otherwise YOU are going to track it into the heavy brush and face a nasty charge in the thickets. That is a big hog on the boom lift even if it was

camera angle enhanced. The lift is probably 6 ft. high and the hog is certainly approaching that in length. Thanks for posting the picture. 'Nuff said.

Nice hog but check out this pig lads this is the scariest sow I've ever seen luckily it is never been seen in the field (due to the physical excertion one would need to be actually in the field) but has been commonly seen porkin out at local Ice cream shops and spouting out FemiNazi anti gun B.S to the mindless masses. This sow will rarely be seen with its mouth shut, and is known to make tons of money every year by selling false statistics of gun violence in the U.S. Here is a rare photo of the beast making a scene at a gun show holding up a Thompson sub machine gun which is about as rare in violent related deaths as a claymore swod. Be wary of the sub standard femanine apearance this is the most dangerous mammal all hunters face in todays wild....

SFHogWild -- I find your post offensive. I read JHO for hunting info ... not political BS.

That's just REALLY too gross. Please don't do that again. You ruined a perfectly good bunch of posts. I can't scroll by fast enough.
