Anybody know anything about how to get a hog scored? I talked to the taxidermist that's doing my pig and he said he thought you boiled the skull and removed the teeth for scoring but he wasn't sure. I'd sure hate for him to be wrong and have it messed up and disqualified. I don't know if I can wait and have it scored after it's mounted or how it works. Any info would be great!

The head is up in Anderson (Redding), CA. Does anybody know anything about who can/will do an official score in that area?

There is a Wieser Weight and tusk book,Too late for anything offical, but you could do the math yourself.Other than that you shot a big pig with big teeth and saved the landscape from total destruction.Upper

The only official scoring system I am aware of is for the CBH records program and that is only for bow kills. You basically add the length of the scull + the width of the scull + the length of each tooth (removed from the lower jaw), measured to the nearest 1/16".
