Good reading, Here are the ones I can remember:
2 at less than 10 feet, 44mag. 1 at about 15 feet, bow and arrow. 2 at about 225 yards, rifle. 1 at 50 yards, 44mag. 1 at 462 yards, rifle.(per laser rangefinder) These are the ones I remember.

We got a lot of data, 48 distances total. Rifle, pistol, and bow kills, all types of shooting are represented in this survey. I think it's quite well balanced infomation.
Some of the posts were a little vauge, so I left one or two out. Any feet distances were converted to yards. Also, any hunter who said their shot was at there feet or point blank, I rounded up to 1 yard.
Here's the final results.
The average distance that wild pigs are shot and killed at by JHP members is 84.25 yards

I guess I'm a little late with this one, but here it is anyway. I've only shot one hog so far. I got her at about 70 yards with a 30-06 168 grain barnes x. Turned her heart and lungs into cracker spread. She didn't move a step.
