Hogs in my traps

Thought I would share some recent pics of hogs at my traps. These are from a flood watershed in Houston. In spite of the bountiful acorn crop, I've been able to trap a few hogs lately.

Here is a group of hogs that is visiting my trap.

I trapped a boar and a watermelon at that trap last Friday.

Yesterday I trapped 8 watermelons in the same general area.

I gave the boar and watermelon to a friend. I killed the 8 watermelons ... will slow smoke them over mesquite wood this weekend ... plan to give them to family and friends on Thanksgiving.

Hey RLL, good to see your posts.
My inlaws live in that area. (Barker Cypress and I-10). Their yard was torn up by pigs from George Bush Park. (they live right on the border of it). The neighborhood is now fencing off the area to keep the pigs out.

I bet those mesquite smoked piglets are going to taste great!

That's cool, we can not trap over here in CA. If you ever want to sell some I believe Randal Wiggins in Cut n Shoot, just north of Conroe buys and sells hog meat.

Hey Lan lord -- yes, these are from George Bush Park. They do lots of damage to the yards that border the park. The Army Corp of Engineers wants me to clear out as many as possible.
