Photoshop or equivalent. If you want your actual signature as it appears handwritten, use a Sharpie and write your signature on a piece of paper, scan it, import the scan into Photoshop (or equiv.) and then use the pen tool to trace your signature, zoom in to touch up the line edges, save, then just drop/place/paste that onto whatever image you want.

make sure you apply the signature after all photo manipulation (resizing, sharpening, etc). the sig should be the last thing before you save the final copy, otherwise your text looks bad.

Ike, Here is one tutorial. There are some other tips on http://www.trimoon.com .

Here is one more Tutorial .

Personally, I just use the type tool in photoshop. This way no one gets my signature. Also something to think about, don't use your signature as you would on a check, alter it in some way.
