I have a few. Quality is not great. I tried posting them, but it's not working with me. I can email them to somebody if needed.

Hi my fellow huntspersons,
I had a great time. I didn't get a pig but not because they weren't there to get. Just seemed to bee a bit to far every time I saw them. But I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. I did run out of my Irish whiskey but the Tequilla lasted. I really enjoyed meeting the lot of you. This was my first time hunting mammals. I have some great pics and some mpgs. I have some video software that will allow me to burn them all to DVD. I will place all the pics and movie clips together and place it to music. When I finish I will make it available to any and all who would like to have it. I'd like to thank Speck once again for putting this together and a special thanks to Brent for getting me climb the mountain the first day in an attempt to get my first pig. I thought I was going to die, I was so out of shape. Truth be told, I have been trying to break the 250 lbs. weight mark. I started at 274 and had gotten down to 252 and hovered there for about 6 months. After the hunt I was 248lbs.

I say thanks again and I had a blast,
Barry "Bear" Clay

Hey Barry,

It was great to meet you, as well. That tequila ROCKED, by the way. I'm mapping my route to Jalisco as we speak... I need about four gallons of that stuff!

I'd love to check out the finished DVD. Sounds pretty cool. Let me (us) know when it's ready, and what your duplication costs are.

Fritz,

Sorry... don't know where you were when Barry was passing around the bottle, but he was definitely NOT keeping it secret. Man, that was good, SMOOTH tequila. Besides, you were pouring that margarita mix on top of it anyway....

Still waiting to talk with Barbara to get final numbers. If my records are right (and I know they're incomplete), I have:

47 Hunters
19 or 20 hogs
Largest was 185lbs, dressed weight

I thought mine was smallest, dressed weight at 76lbs, but someone copped to a smaller one.

Cool, the JHO Ham Slam Workout and Diet. Slam down some tequila and Irish Whiskey at night then hump hills and hellish canyons during the day. Just melt the pounds right off.

Careful there, Karstic... you might be onto something.

Hmmm... let's see how this lawsuit against the Atkins guy goes first, though.

Well, I didn't think it would be too kewl to fill my glass all the way up with your Cazadores
<
. Needed something for a filler. I forgot my low end stuff for the mix and those little shooters from my bottle of Cazadores, that had been sitting in the ice chest all day, seemed to drain my bottle. Go figure! Normally, don't like to use such good stuff for the mix
<
Besides, the mix is like Gatoraid.

replenishing my eletrolites, night lights, and flood lites. Yeah, that my story.

Just love good te-kil-ya.

Yeah he had some decect tusks, I'm going to do my own European mount. The only problem I have is finding a secure place to leave it outside for a while to let the bugs do their thing. I post a picture when its done. I shot him in the head and broke the jaw on one side, so hopefully I can salvage it. For the complete story on him and the rest of my group, see Suzmar1997's post on page three. He gave a great story on the hunt. Sorry to Gnn961, Suzmar1997, Reddog5, and Shrigley for having an itchy trigger finger that weekend. I got a little overexcited, which isn't like me at all. Here is also a picture of Mark's (Suzmar1997) sow as we were skinning it. She was a great meat hog.

Wow! Great stories and photos. I'm so bummed I missed this trip... it took me a whole week before I could even bare to open and read this thread. I can tell everyone had a great time and it also looks like the 'Ham Slamers' managed a kill rate better than the Pig-o-ramas this year...way to go! I know I could have learned a lot from you guys just by hanging out, so I have to do just that on the next big JHO get together. There's lots of good reading here that will help me pass the days until the next Ham Slam, thanks.

Ok, so it wasn't just a dream, I actually did bag a hog and I have visual proof after all. Kenny's hog did have great cutters, but we probably should have taken a pic w/ a better angle on the hog (Can't see much of it in the pic). He dressed out between 185-190 on the camp scale (Non-digital).

Hey Bearmage,
It is a great place for dropping a few lbs. I took a buddy on a POR last year
and he was on the Atkins diet. After a weekend of hiking with me he had shed
over 8 lbs. That made it so that he was allowed to go on the last POR in April
with his wifes permission. Amazing how easy it is to get permission to go hunting
when they feel that it for your good health.

I had a long post going to report on my experience at the Ham Slam, then my daughter unplugged the computer. Here is the abridged version. Got my first hog ever. Worked my butt off. Thanks Speckmisser (for the event and for the ride up to my truck),and thanks Jesse. Hope to meet those of you that I didn't get to next time. Count me in for HAM SLAM II! - Tony

Well Gents,
It's been a long week since the "Slam"...both at work AND at home, gettin' everything back on track and in order, but that little foray out in the weeds with all y'all, was just what the doctor ordered!!! Even though I was a might tuckered when I arrived home Sun. evenin' and just a Tad stiff and sore ta' boot...I wouldn't o' missed that shindig for nuthin', and if the "Good Lord's Willin' and the Creek Don't Rise...I hope to see ya'll next year, if not sooner, at the next "Do"!!! Anyway, back to the Meat n' Tater's o' this here Post...guess I should begin with a few Thank You's...seems like the Polite thing...Jesse, it was a pleasure to meet you in person and Thanks for all your effort in putting together, maintaining and building on, this site of yours! Speck, I don't know where to begin...you're not only tireless in your administrative efforts, but a helluva hand out in the field...Scott can surely attest to that! I'd be proud to share a fire anytime! I didn't get to meet as many of ya'll as I'd have liked to, time just didn't allow, since wmidbrook had me up from just before "Can see, to Can't see and ran me all over them hills like a scalded dog! But we sure had fun helpin' Vandal968 get onto his first hog, which he generously shared with us and I cooked up my first piece last night...(my wife I might add, enjoyed it immensely). But for all of you that I did have the opportunity to meet and speak with after all these months of readin' yore' Posts...it was my sincere pleasure and I hope to share that again real soon!
Pitdog, you are one crazy som' uva buck...and your huntin' pard' FForF is a darn good man ta' have in the field, you should feel proud ta' have him sidin' ya'! I'm gonna git a'holt o' the both o' ya' for a hunt here, REAL soon! You and Mike let me know what time frame works for ya' both! Tman and Dilprxo, I only had a chance to pass the ammenities for a brief time, but it was good sharin' a camp and a moment with you boys...AND a couple o' cold ones! Fpscabs, that pic you posted of the "Americas Most Wanted" crew, standin' around at the "Drawing" on Sat. night...reminded me of "Deer Camp" up in da' U.P. of northern Mich., 'ey! Ozstriker and "Big" Ed, it was a Kick! And we'll do what we talked about, or I'll "Sell m' Saddle!!! Boy! That Scotch o' Pitdogs plum near took the "Slack outta' my Cinch"! Grtwythnter...yore' a "HAND" son....and I don't throw compliments around where they ain't due!!! My hat's off to you and I don't do that often neither! The hat only comes off for a few things, settin' up to the table is one of'em...takin' a bath is another(and that, only when it's REALLY necessary), and the other...well the rest o' you fellas know what that might be! Mebbe we can get out in the weeds again sometime soon, Scott! Take care o' yourself. OneTrack...you are one helluva card to Draw to...after all our pallaverin' back and forth the past few months...it was good to put a face with an attitude! I woulda' thought a multi-talented fella such as yourself, would climb aboard that hog you nailed and surfed'em down that grassy swale! :) Hope I see you and Buckeye in Jan. in AZ. for the Jave'/Coues combo hunt. Wmidbrook, Vandal, my ol' huntin' pards...you guys are top-notch...a true cut above! We had a great weekend and I'd do it all again in a flat second. I'm really lookin' forward to this Fall, when we can get out again and try and put some more meat in the freezer! Mid, if that cramp Sun. morning hadn't tightened my leg up like a frog's ass...I truly think we'd have put you on a hog in that Hellacious Canyon we'd been workin'! Maybe next time, buddy! And finally, RanchoLoco....nice pics of the ranch you posted. They really capture the beauty of the place and the grandeur! It was not only amazing, but AWESOME! It's now wonder I saw so many Elk, Deer, Turkey, Quail and even a few pigs(just not close enough for a decent shot)and everything was so damn healthy, what with all the seeds, flower tops and knee-deep grass...they had more food than a Baptist Picnic! All you guys that scored pigs...congrats and enjoy your eatin'...to the rest o' you fellas...we'll get on top of'em next time! Until then, take care, keep yore powder dry and good huntin' !!!
