Whats the weather like in South Africa in August. I have only been in May and June. Will it be cooler in August? I may have a last minute trip to start planning for.
300magman, the weather will not be as cold in August as it is in May / June. August nears the end of our winter and temperatures will already have picked up by then but it would still be cool (in our terms).
It is still a good time of year to hunt but bear in mind that by that time of year quite a bit of shooting might have taken place in hunting areas which could cause skittish / hard to find animals if the landowner / outfitter isn't committed to sound hunting practices.

Thanks for the reply. It looks like the trip this August will not happen. I was going to be shooting video for a group working on a DVD but it appears they did not like the price tag for our services. Well looks like I have to wait until next June to get back to Africa unless someone needs a videographer this season.
