That is a huge elk! Looks like a rocky mountain? Where was it taken, Mt Emily or one of the units north east of there? Any score..........

If you can't see the pic's the are on page 3 of the photos.

Not sure, but I think this is the same bull? It was shot in the Cascades east of Eugene during the Cascade elk hunt, so it will be scored as a Roosevelt. I haven't any score what-so-ever on this bull.

There's another photo of a Mt Emily bull killed during archery season that scored 362.

I also saw a pic of a Wallowa archery bull that scores 392, if the score holds up that bull will be the new Oregon archery record.

My hunting partner killed a bull in the Walla Walla unit during archery season that scored 360ish gross, but has quite afew deductions. I can post a pic of that bull if anyone is interested?

That's it, back to Wallowa next year. This time I'll be in better shape, more educated, and FRESH on opening morning!

We never did weigh his bull, but it was the heaviest elk I've ever been associated with. Both of us could only budge it 10ft downhill for photos!

It had close to 2" of fat on it's butt, and probably 5 gallons of kidney fat around the tenderloins!

The quarters put a strain on the ole packboards for sure.
