We sure had a great time and went 5 for 5 hunters. No real big hogs but all good eaters. It was a bit tougher because there is food everywhere this year and the hogs are spread out. We had to work a bit harder. Well at least one guy did. We killed 4 hogs off the same group not 20 minutes after driving into the ranch Friday evening. Then we hunted all day, from sun up to sundown, on Saturday not seeing much and no shots taken. It was a little grueling in that sun. Then we got 'er dun early Sunday morning with a nice young boar. Sorry I don't have any pics as I only took an old schoold VHS camcorder.

FD2, I only grabbed one squeeler but he was only a little dude about 100lbs. Didn't put up too much fight.

Time for cutting and wrapping tonight.

Congrats SD~! Glad you were able to get into some hog shootin' action there.

Liking your Kimber any better? What load did you use?

We only saw them up and in the open at first and last light. Other than that, it was driving the bedding areas.

wmidb: My Kimber .270 wsm, pulled the rug out from under that hog. It was running at about 90 yards and I swung out in front and fired as soon as the crosshairs hit the lips. It still ended up a little too far back. I did destroy the liver, the back of one lung and just clipped the spine. She went down then tried to stand up and fell over dead. I used Federal Prem. 140 Accubond and it passed through so I couldn't inspect it. Seemed to do the job just fine.

Way to go SD.

It's great to see action in the hog forum again. I can't wait for the Ham Slam stories.
