Did you guys already put in for your tags? What area did you put in for? My wife and I put in for G-13/D-16. Also picked up some hog tags for next year. We put in for elk over at hunter liggett, and the big horn out in the desert......A buddy and I will probably go try to fill this years pig tag over in the cleveland forest in June, probably the last weekend....been there twice and have not seen anything yet.....still holding out hope...

Todd,
I just put in for my G13/D16 as well. No pref points, so it'll probably be bucks-only for me.

Would love to get some scouting/late pigs in over the summer/early fall in CNF. Saw a ton of muleys out around Palomar month or so ago...

We live in the Ontario/Upland area and haven't gotten to hunt as much lately as we like do to work but hope to be doing a lot more this coming year with my husband and kids. Always looking to meet new people in the area who enjoy hunting and archery as we do.

Im in Elsinore, I put in for A17 and D16 as my 2nd choice. I shot a 22lb tom on the last day of turkey season on Palomar Mtn. and saw more deer than I have seen in years. I think this year is going to be a good one.I say we go after those pigs in the drainage that I keep hearing about.

I am in Big Bear home of the elusive deer. We hunt it most every year but only the baiters seem to get regular sucess. I know the area well and see good deer until the 1st day of the season....poof all gone. Anyone coming up send me a message and I am happy to hunt or point for you. This year I will be in Colorado but I will be full time retired next year. Goin Pig Hunting this weekend at Camp Roberts. Looks bleek but I will work it like a >>>>>.

I am not the best hunter but I am a good shot and never backed out. I prefer the hunts of the 60's to 80's where it is up front and personal. I do not like the 3-500 yard shots, nor do I enjoy the kill the piggy under the big tree. Farms are for raising animals not hunting them. The experience of hiking and exploring the habitat learning about the game is more thrilling than a 30 second rush killing a pet under the same ol tree.

I shoot a 444 lever Marlin, 45 Springfield 1911, Big Ugly 44, and a shotgun if absolutely need be. I prefer the Marlin as it has never let me down. I am limited to 150-200 yards but it makes me get closer or at least I continue to learn how.

Any time you wanna hunt I would love to be there with ya. Hook up with Grumpy Joe anytime but do not expect a kill the first day before noon, that is only on the farms. I have hiked over 45 miles and still came home happy and meatless. In retirement I will have more opportunity to go where the game is still wild and plentiful. I look forward to Wyoming Montana and most of all Alaska.

I am in Escondido. I put in for G13/A22. If I get the G-13, I'll buy A-22 OTC. If I don't, they'll just send me A-22 and I buy D-16 OTC.

Put in for Independence Bull Muzzleloader for elk. I still have a pig tag good till June 30, then I will buy another when i go out again after that.

Yucaipa Ca, here. I put in for g-13, m-6, and d-12. I have a d-14 tag, pig and a bear tag already. Would love to just get some meat in the freezer. I also am hunting Arizona for deer and pigs this year.

Todd, I'm in the IE also, and I hunt SD (A-22), the IE for wild pigs - have had good success in both places. I've whacked four hogs, with a bow, on public land in the IE in the last two years. My hunting partner killed a monster hog on public land in SD last year....we hunt hard. Also, I hunted Africa (Namibia) last summer and had a blast!! I've been to Africa four times, but this last time was the best. Send me a pm if you'd like some info. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/showthread.php/211092-Back-from-Namibia

I'm still looking for my first pig on public land in San Diego, but I don't hunt nearly as hard. When I can I get out there, but not as much. Sounds like you've had some great success, relative to most hunting around here. Congrats!
