So I have heard that there are pigs running lose north of El Cap. My question is what type of game (non-fliers) can be hunted in San Deigo County and where. I realize the second question might be a little touchy for some but I am not asking for the GPS location, just a vague area. Just trying to be able to see if its possible to go on local hunts too.

The pigs are moving around. It will require alot of boot time on the ground. Get a forest service map and spend a weekend out with yout gun.

Well, non-fliers would be Deer, Pig, coyote, bobcat, etc.... All with proper permits, of course..... :roll-wink-green:

If you plan on hunting in San Diego county you need to buy a few forest service and BLM maps. After that, I would recommend transferring the boundaries form those maps onto more detailed topo maps once you decide on an area.

There is plenty of public land around here but it's all bordered by private land, state parks, another land not open to hunting.

Have fun but don't get caught in the wrong area.
