I have a few "secret spots" on the ranch that LD told me about. I plan to hit those spots first thing. Actually, I guess they are my spots now because LD is always working...and I am always hunting!

i belive that may be illegal in calif and if i show up i will not be hunting, i have date with a big tree, but the right kind of drink i just may slure out a couple of spots

Hey guys been offline here for a week or so... Lots of talking about food going on here. Just let me know when we start talkin' bout sleeping arrangements (and I'm not talking in the same bunk). Looks like I'll be meeting some of you guys for the first time on this trip. Some of the guys that already know me say I snore a little. Just fair warning. I'll go thru all the posts here and I'll fill in some of the gaps on what is missing for food. I usually bring up a pretty good salsa and chips.

I messed up my shoulder pretty bad a couple of weeks ago, had to do the whole MRI thingy....Man, I just realized I don't like confined places. Starting some physical therapy. I think I'm going to be good for about one maybe two shots, so I'd better be dang close to them piggies next week (and a half). No excuses for a missed shot, that way.

I can't wait to get out of dodge and get up there in them hills.

On Orso's note, I've been known to saw some big logs myself while sleeping so I'm willing to crash on one of the couches in the main room. I think I ran Archer32 out of our room the first night last Oct.!

. Good to go here I can hear my wife through the bedroom wall over the TV and at the same time, my bulldog from the den. Needless to say im kinda use to it.

Ok all kinda at a loss as to what to bring. got in on this at the last min. and it all looks taken care of but i got to bring somthing.

How about some Beens and french breed to add to the dinners and some chips and salsa to add to the lunches. Someone chime in and let me know if this is good.

Ive been a solo hunter all my life this is going to be a new and I know a cool experance. Man i cant wait to get down wind off some pigs

If you are going to Choppers, you will get into pigs! Even LureDiver has been sucessful there!

Hey Orso, sorry to hear about the shoulder bud. I just did the MRI again yesterday at 4pm. I hate that damn thing !!!! Good luck on the recovery. I ended up with a pinched nerve after the drive to Tejon and the lifting work at the skinning pole. My left arm was going numb from the shoulder on down. I even ended up in ER on the Tuesday after the POR at 11:30 PM just to be 100% sure it wasn't the ticker

The trick with the knifin' them thing is to legally sink and arrow in first. Then you are just finish it off by whatever means are necessary with the tools at hand. I highly recommend shooting a big-un at last light then track him with a headland and a skinner knife into the pig tunnels. It's a hoot

Good luck you guys, sounds like the hogs are out in force right now. Shoot straight!

BDB, Good to hear you didn't miss a beat, so to speak....LOL.

I'm totally pumped.... Listen up guys, I'm plannin' on sharpening my pocket knife this weekend. I don't care who's killin' pigs, I'm planning on doin' a lot of skinnin' on this trip. Also, I just got a new video camera so looking to shoot some good recovery footage and maybe even a leathal shot of my own into one of those hawgs.

wtpops - I'll take care of the chips and salsa. I've got a line on some good stuff. "Alcapulco Red" I like to call it. Just hot enough to keep you eating more and more and more... (and for the looky looes, I'm refering to salsa and not anything illegal).

hell with the wood sawing you all are going to be doing i dont see why i need to come up! you all need to sleep in the south/west barley field and saw wood there is about 5 cords that needs attention
