Hunting bakersfield

Hello fellow hunters I am from Los Angeles,Ca and have hunted the d11,d13,d13,d19 and A zone zone since I was 13 along with my father. I recently moved out to Bakersfield CA 6 months ago. I don't know any hunting areas around here other than private land. Will anyone be so kind to assist me on where I may hunt pig,bear, turkey, quail and deer(for next next year since deer season is close) I am off this whole weekend and next week and I would love to take my old man out to harvest these species.

I would think that with D13 and D11 (northern parts) being an hour away or less, your old big game spots would still be working for you. Ditto for Turkey - someplace around Lake Nacimiento or the CNF - same distance/time as before.

D7 and D8 are well known and there are a lot of posts here on those zones. Deer, bear, pigs, birds are all up there. Carrizo Plains is good for upland hunting I hear.

As ALWAYS, maps are essential.

Of course what do I know since I missed out this year on everything. (though I DO have piggy plans for next spring already in the works....)
