I know this is last minute, but Chopper is offering a deer/pig hunt on his property in Hollister. If you check the stories on his place, you'll find that his ranch has many blacktails as well as pigs.

Here is the deal:

2 minimum, 4-6 hunters max. You don't have to be a whole group. Bow or Rifle.

Semi-guided. Chopper will drop you off where deer have been seen. Skinning shed and hanging cooler on the ranch. Dress and skin your own kills.

Hunt will be this Friday(8/19) through Sunday(8/21).

This will be primarily for deer, but a pig will be included.

Lodging in the Cabin. BTW: this cabin is very nice, has bathroom facilities, kitchen, BBQ area and an awesome view.

Fee: $750 hunting fee, $1250 fee for killing or drawing blood.

Please call Chopper for arrangements or more information at (831) 682-0468.

Wish i could make it too. I dont think I could talk my wife into the 2 grand( am i reading that right 750 for the hunt and another 1250 for the kill) for a deer and or pig though. Lots of quality deer up there, Ive seen a couple REAL nice bucks while hunting there in the past. Very tempting. Good luck to anyone thinking about going. you wont be disappointed!!!

The kill/wound fee applies to the deer only. The 750 fee woul dcover the pig if you were to get a pig only. Keep in mind, this is primarily for deer.

Are these pricrs for real? for another 1500 I could so a 7 day hunt in Sask, Canada
for 300lb whitetails in the 160+ range. Sounds a little steep to me.

Wow, must be nice to have $1500 extra plus $$ for plane, food, lodging, and all the other crap associated w/ a long distance trip like that. For the quality & quantity of deer that Chopper has, the money is well worth it. If you think it's too steep of a price, don't go! That'll be one more deer for the rest of us.
