Does anyone know of A out fitter or guide next to camp Roberts around Bradley road.
I'll check him out thanks. I found one on Craigslist but seemed stand offish when I said I'd ask about him on here
Tried to find add again but it's amazingly gone. 300 for a day of archery for a hog. His wife emailed me and said he'd call me but never came around.
I'm just itching to fill tag. Works been non stop since October traveling everywhere and since its Ca I brought my jeep and gear. We leave here maybe Saturday back to riverside. If anything ill bust out the fishing poles and try that
That sounds precisely like Larry boy. 300 bucks is low for hog hunting and it seems to be the amount he advertises for a lot. Don't be so desperate that you get scammed. Did the guy give a name?
Try nessian schmidt or Jack Ranch
If camp 5 outfitters are still hunting the Work Ranch-thats a good ranch- took 35 + hogs off that ranch
Before camp 5 got their mitts on it[/QUOTE
Who is Nessian Schmidt? I dont find info about pig hunts under that name. Not sure were Camp 5 hunts but wow.. $1000.00 for a one day hunt. 2 day is $1200 or $1500 depending on if u get food. Sounds crazy high to me. I know im a new guy but just IMO.
Were did u get the 35+ pigs. Is the work ranch part of jack ranch? i know that is owned by the Hearst. Who had there mitts on it while u were getting 35+ pigs. Sounds like a lot of meat and i would love to learn all i can from ppl here. With that many hog kills under your belt. You must b one of the true hog hunter pros.
Another vote for Tom. Hunted pigs and deer with him, great success, top notch operation
The only real complaint I have with Tom is two-fold
1) He used to over-book a lot and it got pretty busy sometimes. That led to him and his crew hurrying you along to get the next customers in. I didn't like being rushed for $500.
2) When he wasn't overbooked and busy, it still only took an hour or so to find and kill a nice pig. The hunt was pretty much over almost before it began...... but that's a good problem to have, I guess.
At any rate, if you want to pay a guide, Tom will get you a pig. He knows what he's doing. I've gotten to like the uncertainy of it all, and I like to spend all day and all weekend hunting..... so I hunt public land now.![]()
