Enquiring minds want to know for sure......let's hear it. Hog hunting stories really excite me even if it was an ambush from a treestand. Hogs sure can fight back when it wants to and they have the tusks and the size to do it. Thanks in advance for the write up to the story. 'Nuff said.

Ok here it is.

XDHunter has so far been blessed by the hunting gods. He had 100% success rate starting from mule in Utah late last year. His only unsuccesful one was with me (JHOers be warned of my jinx) was with me in D14 during the deer season.

XD, after bagging a meat size hog at Bryson with Deedy three weeks ago, made another hog hunting trip (how many freezers does this guy have?) the other weekend, this time in a friend's private ranch near FHL.

His story is that he spotted a boar from about 20 yards. The boar has not seen him and continue to walk towards XD's position. At about 10 yards, XD drew his bow and shoot the boar. The arrow made a pass through on both lungs. Being on higher elevation than XD's position, it made a death run towards him. As the boar sees XD, it swiped him with it's tusk. XD stumbled downhill as he is trying to avoid the boar thrusts.

The harvest? The boar. XD with dislocated shoulder and broken pinky. And a memento of the boar's sharp incissors: XD's ripped hunting trousers.

Well, XD... it doesn't quite qualify for the wall of pain, but it's not bad.

Hope you're feeling better soon... hard to draw a bow with a dislocated shoulder.

Speck,

XD is another ironman (to borrow Spectr's term) candidate. He says he is not cancelling out his Tejon memorial day JHO hog hunt. He is a lefty and his injuries, shoulder on sling and pinky still in cast with the ring finger is on the right side.

He can qualify to be a candidate. A buddy had to stomp on XD's shoulder with his foot to put the arm bones back into it's socket.

If there were pictures of the RElocation, that might be worth a bid. Video would guarantee a spot!

Otherwise, that makes two dislocations so far.. XD and BDB (during the February JHO/Tejon Archery hunt).

Oh well.. there's still time. Memorial day is coming quick.
