I think Why is misinformed about Deer hunting in Cali, and as mentioned its not all about the kill its about getting back to nature and enjoying family & friends and maybe a bonus of fresh venison, thanks you guys for your input.

It really don't cost that much money to hunt public land.
Being with my father hunting next to him is priceless.

cjack,I have never seen a deer in velvet in rifle season in calif.,I dont know,but your deers horns are still growing.just saying.
