Ok going Sunday up by arbuckle off hwy 5. Any last tips. There is lots of water on the ranch and lots of agracluture fields about 1 mile away. Should I ambush them between the water/beds and the trail to the food along the canyon floors ?thx!

I would try to catch them coming out of the fields right after sunrise or heading to the fields in the late afternoon. If the terrain is open enough, get on a ridge and spot them coming - then head them off.

tips

I know where they are feeding well at least the direction. all the food is to the east. I dont know which pond they are using I have an idea but there are a lot of ponds. How far will they travel to bed from feeding? Will they choose the closet bedding/water to the food as long as there is no hunting pressure? Will pigs eat the agraclutral area before they will just try and dig up the ground?

If the caretaker is at Mosby, try to talk to him the night before. I am guessing that is where you are going. When I was there, the caretaker gentleman was very helpful. Unfortunately, I did not got to hunt it due to a disagreement with my spouse. There is Indian land adjacent to the ranch. I was told it's best to stay away from that border. Give it some room, if you will. That's all I got. Good Luck.

Get up high and glass. As mentioned, catch them going/coming in the early morning and late evening.
