Hyena Hog Video at the feeder

My success rate sitting at this feeder as the sun goes down out here in Texas is around 10%. Deer, cows, coyotes, lots of distractions. And hogs rarely show up at the same time of day or days. (When they do show up I have a 100% kill rate ) This sounder did show up for 3 days in a row around the same time. I shoot once they run in and stop, behind the feeder. They spook easy and will take off in an instant. So I have a few seconds to pick one as they come in and about 2 seconds to shoot when they stop....Warning this video contains graphic hog hunting, do not watch if you are easily triggered....

hahaaa! Love it! I knownits winter now. So the rattlers are hibernating. But how bad are the snakes when it warms up? Just curious because in other videos you are going through brush and high grass.

I wear snake boots year round for snakes and for the brush I go through and if a hog charges I keep thinking my boots will save me...You have to be careful with snakes during the summer but they are not everywhere. I did come very close to a cottonmouth while crawling up a bank near a creek. If you walk near creeks the cottonmouths sit on the bank and will "leap" in to the creek as you pass. A little scary. This is a Copperhead.
