I don't find antlers.

G'day.I went to fill another doe tag and have a gander for some sheds.I concentrated on a spot at the northern end of the haul paddock.I had my video camera and missed a few as it lay due to being all excited filming and forgeting to take a pic on 2 or 3.

I thought these were a set apon finding them but they were not.I forgot the as it lay,but have footage and will be sorting that out soon enough.

This was 3 yards away from other 2.I couldn't believe I found these as I have walked in this spot 5 times this season already as it's just off the track to the haul paddock.

Then this.If you were to draw a line off the top of horn to other side of image you will notice a little half chew whitey.

Then this.The best of the trip.Their was a horn just off pic in a drain.It was the other half to this.Luvly set.So I set my camera up and got footage of it's recovery.My first set on film.You will laugh how excited I get when I realise it was a set.I was just to excited to take pic of other horn.But you will see them recovered.

YOU WONT BELIEVE THIS....As I set up the cam to film the recovery of the set I found a spike between me and the camera.Cool...

The round up.....BUT BUT BUT........This round up is missing 3 sheds.Why?
My father and I sat in the house waiting for 11pm when the does seem to have full bellies and lay around in the paddocks.We only use candles as to not show bright lights and the deer will feed right up to the house.They did.So with that I got a doe in the but of the neck right on the spine with 22 hornet(40 yards off the shoulder).Droped like a rock it did.So we left it and went looking for another.

We found one and it was abit smaller and to far off for me to have a crack off the shoulder (100 yards in spotlight= no no) so we walked closer.As we did it took off. "She went down here" I said to dad."OMG I just triped over a horn" I then said.
"I don't know where she's gone"dad replyed....
"No not where she's gone dad","I just found a horn".
"Be buggered","Thats absolutely bs" dad replyed.
So I have now found 2 sheds in the dark in 2 years.
But..but but......As I walked back out to the haul paddock to get my trail cam I found another 2 in a ditch just off the road 300 yards from house...

"Dear oh dear Dame" dad said."You don't find them horns do you","They bloody find you,ha ha ha"...."Too right" I said and packed them into trailer with a smile like that of a druged monkey.

This is nearly it for me this year guys.I may be getting spiker cull and runty stag cull permits in a month or two.But untill then I wont be getting back in the bush.
I honestly lost count around 70.But I cracked a tonne and for that i'm happy as a pig in poop.As my entire lifes collection was 54.

Heres a link to the set recovery.It's about 6.8mb.Any smaller and it would be hard to hear or see.I'm not having much luck getting my analogue tape to digital dvd.Not that it's hard,I just can't seem to get a clear picture or nice sound.

Do you use a hdd hard drive video recorder?
Your film was realy nice,sharp and clear.I don't seem to be able to get that nice look once the video has been edited.It may be the program,windows movie maker.

I have aver dvd capture but when I play back on pc it has lines through it when set at 740x520(or something).Do you know if it would still have lines when put onto dvd and or played on a television?

It's all still a major learning curve for me.The pc side of things i'm fine with(I build them for fun) but I find that i'm to far away from cam or too close with my head missing.Or just to darn windy to hear anything.This bit of footage was the only bit not requiring a take or five.lol
