i love states that advertise hunting.

i am definately going to research CO elk hunting soon. deadline is april, just like NM.

NM is trying to pass a bill to really limit non-res tags.

CO is to greedy to limit non res tags. I saw A LOT of elk hunters during my deer hunt last year.

One advantage in Colorado to limit the amount of hunters, is to apply for limited tag areas. Unit 33 is my 1st. choice for Archery deer/elk and 2nd rifle season for deer tag.(Elk is over the counter for 2nd. rifle season). Then you do limit the amount of other hunters. Especially on 2nd. rifle season if you skip Sat. Sun & Mon and just hunt Tuesday through the weekend. Amazing how many hunters are 3 day hunters. I personally enjoy the camping for as many days in my wall tent as I can financially stay.
