I should be hunting hogs in a month or so and I need help finding a butcher that can do Hogs. I live in Vacaville, CA in Northern CA and I would prefer something around there.
One word of advice, prepare yourself in advance for the sticker shock... it's not uncommon for a guy to drop off a 150 lb pig, order up some link sausage, a couple smoked hams, and be stuck with a bill for near $300 (in some cases even more than that!).
Some butchers are more expensive, some less... just make sure you know what the charges are up front so there's no hard feelings.
Thank you, I was looking at prices on the link and it looks like it is around $50-60 and another like $0.59 /lb for something made special like sausage, but I can't find any near me
