If you could only purchase one piece of photographic equipment, and you were not hindered by price, what would you choose? New camera, new lens, speciality item such as underwater housing, studio equipment such as umbrellas or other lighting?

I think for me, I would stick with my existing camera body ( 20D ) and compliment it with a 400mm/f2.8 prime lens for wildlife. I would be tempted to get a higher megapixel and better performing body, but my existing body shoots a good enough photo. My biggest need/want that is constrained by price is a good lens that performs well in low light, and has some long reach. The canon 400mm/f2.8 costs about 6,500

We only get to choose one thing??? How about that lens matched with a Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II?

Canon 200mm f1.8 lens - the ultimate indoor sports photography lens. To bad Canon doesn't make it anymore.

Chris, that is ONE SWEET LENS!!!

Me, I'd have to go with the Canon 600mm f/4 L IS

Then have a 1DsMKIIn body, wimberly sidekick on a carbonfiber tripod. I think I only need about 20G!!

Zach, that is one of the many pictures you and Chris have posted here that got me hooked on photography. I'm glad to see the large image again.

I'm going to follow Zach around and see if I like his set up. For 20Gs, I want to be sure!!
