Nice pig! I would love to hunt pigs in Australia or Indonesia but I don't know how to get the meat back to the USA without going broke. What are the gun laws like in Indonesia? How pig do thee East asain pigs get. in th USA they can reach ove 500 kilos although not vey often. In California a 150 kilo pig would be considered very good. So far the Calif pigs have got me beat. Good job in Indonesia:smiley_green_with_e

500 Kilos. Doesnt 1 KG = 2.2 lbs ???? I was unaware that wild hogs in the USA can get up to 1,100 lbs :rotflmao:. Anyways great looking hog.

There have been a few mentioned in the press. Its not common but if a feral pig with a lot of Berkshire blood that can access a lot of grain can get that big.

in java, 75 kgs boar is considered very big for now. but in borneo and sumatra, 150kgs boar is considered normal. i'm planning to go to borneo or sumatra this year.
in java, usually they eat farmers' crops, so the meat is very nice.

Indoboar,
Thanks again for the very nice story and pictures of that 3 legged wild boar. I love to see wild boar pictures...............and those asiatic/polynesian wild boars look different than the hybrid(mixed) escaped farm hogs mixed with some Eurasian wild boar genetics that we have here in the good 'ol U.S.A. Yes, there is a picture of a 1,200 lb. wild boar shot in Texas hanging in the bathroom of the Bass Pro Shops in Katy, Texas. Like mentioned earlier, probably a feral hog feeding on those lush Texas crops. Thanks again Indoboar and keep us excited with your nice looking wild boar pictures.
