This spring the importance of good bino's was brought home to me- again. While hunting Javelina I was on a ridge looking down at lots of prickly pear cactus, mequite trees etc. when I noticed a dark object in the shadows of a tree. Well I assumed it was just another barrel cactus, but since I had my binos (Bushnell Legend 8 x 42) I had a look -and low and behold 100 yards away in the shadows was a javelina. So I took a good sitting position and sent a 120 grainer from my 6.5 x 55 Sweede through it.
Seems like it does not matter what I'm hunting: javelina, deer, coyotes or even rabbits and squirrels good binos always help bring home more game not just because it allows us to see farther but even at 30 yards in a dark woods ,it allows you to see a deers ear move, that would be undetected by the un-aided eye.
Any one else bring home more game because of good glass?
