I'm wondering if anyone has any they are willing to part with (and sell me) on short notice. I'm trying to get out on Tuesday to go hog hunting, and I can't find any factory loads at any shops anywhere reasonably near. 6 rounds (or fewer) is all I'm looking for. I would drive out to you, of course, at your convenience.

I have ordered some, but I most likely won't get them for two to three weeks at best.

I do hand load .308 loads for tactical long range precision competition, but haven't gotten into doing handgun loads yet, and I don't have enough time to pull it together before Tuesday, obviously.

I'm bow hunting, but I would like to have my S&W 629 Backpacker with me for backup.

I'm new to this site, and I'm not sure about all the rules, although I did look through the FAQ to try to make sure it's okay to make a post of this nature, and didn't find anything saying it's not okay.

Thanks!

Yep, thanks #1. That's where I have some on order from, but their site says they are behind 2 - 3 weeks on shipping these days.

I did manage to cobble together nearly everything I need to hand load my own. I sourced Barnes XPB 225 gr bullets, I've got .44 mag cases, and I have a couple of boxes of CCI primers, and I've got a set of Redding carbide dies.

What I can't find anywhere at all is some suitable powder, like 2400 or No. 9. Everyplace I've checked seems to be 100% out of most or all powder: Turner's Outdoorsman in Pasadena has no powder at all. Bass Pro in Rancho Cucamonga has no powder either. The Angeles Shooting Range Reloading store has very few types of powder available, and nothing suitable for .44 Mag.

Man, when is this run on all things gun related going to end? Anyone want to sell me some powder or perhaps trade? I've got plenty of Hodgdon H4895 & Varget on hand.

Try these guys:

They have XPB (Barnes) lead free in 200 and 225 grain bullets.
