Has anyone here tried hunting Indian Valley Reservoir in Lake
County. Can you tell me how it is (access wise, number of pigs terrain, etc) I am new to pig hunting and I haven't shot a bow since I was a kid but I am interested in the Lake Sonoma hunting as well. Any info on either area would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Alex

Very rugged terrain! Thick Thick Thick Brush and Hilly your best advantage would be from a boat spotting pigs from the water! We saw no pig sign on land and we hiked our tails off. I heard using dogs is the best way to hunt them out there. Hope this helps

I was up there a few years back and was pretty disappointed. Previous posting are correct, very thick cover that's difficult to hunt. I didn't see anything that would make me want to return.

Thanks for the input, you saved me some serious gas money. Lurediver good luck on the hunt at Chopper's! Hope you score some pork.

BigGun, try Lake Sonoma if you can! Tones of sign, spotting is way easier, and the access is a lot better. The JHO hunt in November would be a great time to go to Sonoma, tag along with some of us and you'll be in awesome shape! Get ready to hike your butt off!!!
