I found this site while doing a search on my upcoming Tejon Pig hunt.
This place is a wealth of information and useful tips for every form hunting and fishing activity. I Can't help but notice all the members from California in this forum which is fantastic for finding hunting partners. I am self employed (structural steel contractor) and native to the S.F Bay Area for 40 years now.
I started hunting ducks when I was 25 and have enjoyed hunting Big game for the past few years.

I shoot a weatherby 300 Mag and my son (16 yrs old) shoots a Remington 7mm. This is our second year hunting together and our first upcoming trip to Tejon Ranch. I hope to see some of you at the Tejon and look forward to sharing stories in the future.

Cool. Welcome. Glad to see you hunting with your son.
Growing up our father was an attorney and besides the golf course he never spent anytime outdoors so activities like hunting, fishing and camping were not part of lives.
My son has always been interested in guns and the outdoors so naturally I wanted to show him what it was like and at the same time learn more about it myself.
The wife is always not far behind. I expect to see her sighting in a rifle within the next year or so

I can't wait to see the look on my sons face when he finally fills a big game tag. Thanks again for the warm welcome everyone.

Welcome aboard Ironworker,

I myself was not introduced to the outdoors my parents but was fortunate enough to be shown the ropes by my adoped Bro and his family. I have continued the traditon with my son, daughter, wife, brother, nephews, friends and whoever around me that shows interest.

You will find this website full of info to assist you in your journey to the outdoors and hunting. Best of luck on your journeys.

Cheers
