well good for you.  Why does everyone have to be so negitive?  I was tring to let people know about an event and a moderator lists back " I wouldnt fish that lake if you paid me"  well thats mature.  More so for the moderator,  He should remain more professional than that.  Sorry  just my thoughts

Hey SoCal, I got to agree with you.  During my 27 years down in SoCal, I and my son had a lot of good times with my fishin/huntin buddies at both Irvine Lake and Santa Ana River Lakes, even though we all fished the Sierras up and down the state frequently.  These private lakes are close-in, and you can include a lot of friends who can't, or won't, go through the time and effort it takes to go further away, and maybe not catch anything at all.  I used to keep my motorhome packed for fishin 7 days a week, and when my son or my friends wanted to head for one of those lakes, night or day, off we went!  I have ton's of great memories from those lakes!
