Congrats on the successful hunt... I take it you would recommend the outfit huh? Those look like some healthy hogs.

I've heard lots of good things about Jack ranch. What did you think overall? Thanks

Good job guys; nice to see all boars and no sows. They look to be in pretty good shape.

We had 3 down by 8:30am Saturday. We should have had 4 but one member of our party tried to induce a heart attack on his pig by firing 5 shots all around him. We went up real high to glass in the morning on the open fields and thats when a group was spotted in some low rolling hills. We left the 1 guy to watch a small canyon and Mark, our guide took us 3 to get this group we spotted. I was dropped off to watch the front door of this canyon while the others drove around the back. 5 minutes later I hear 2 shots over the hill about 1/4 mile away then the Polaris motoring in a hurry then 2 more shots. That was 2 boars out of a group of 4. I'm waiting but nothing comes my way. Then a mile away We hear 1shot then 2,3 4 5 SHOTS .
All this happens in about 10 minutes time and I'm thinkin when do I get to shoot at something. Well the the 1st 2 were shot at about 40-60 yds. The second pig was chased about 2 miles before it was shot after some great driving by Mark. Now we are all in the Polaris and going back to get the first boar when we spot this big black and white running awy from us. So we drive around to head him off and give me the shot but he's 200 yds out and going and out of my range so we drive some more get closer and he's running slower and with a bad front leg. We got 4 guys a kid and 1 pig in this Polaris going about 15 mph and we're side by side with this pig who's limping and drooling all over himself. It lookd like the OJ chase. So after a miss then clipping his front leg I put 400 gr slug into his lungs and he went down. Later around 4 we spotted another Black and White walking alone and Robert and Mark walked up a road to get him got winded and the boar got stuck under a fence for 10 seconds which gave Robert a chance to get in a good position. When the boar took off again he fired 1 shot hi then the next was perfect lung heart going awy at about 80 yds. Great shot. Almost made us forget about the 5 shots he took earlier. The night before we sat over some thick nasty brush were they come out everynight in a different area and there were what seemed 3 groups in this stuff all fighting for the 2 hours we sat there till it was too dark. It was quite a show but we couldn't see anything. Didn't see many pigs this time but they're there. Hope this wasn't too long.

Nice pics and great story, looks like you guys had a great trip. I've never hunted the "Jack Ranch", but I have heard nothing but good things about it. Parkfield is one of mt favorite place to hunt pigs....

Burt runs the Jack ranch hunts, the shed is a log ( written on the walls)of hogs taken off the ranch over the years. I too had a great hunt with Marc just over a year ago.
