My friends son had something come up at the last minute so now there's an opening in my booked hunt this weekend. Booked days are Afternoon-evening of the 24th ,the 25th and morning of the 26th. Bert offered to reschedule but my work schedule will not allow it in the near future. Anyone interested? The cost is 500.00 per hunter and yes it will be hot.

Wish I could make it. Ought to be a good hunt, despite the heat. The streams and creeks are finally drying up, and the food is getting a little harder to find. The hogs should start concentrating a little bit more now.

Enjoy, and let us know how it goes!

Do they use dogs or is it a "spot & stalk" hunt? I may be interested if the warden OK's it.

Sounds tempting sidepass. I'm booked for Aug 14-16 with my brother, can't afford another $500! Hope you find a partner and good luck!

Well I just got back from the Jack ranch and yes it was hot! Covered a watering trough Sun nite and took the trailing boar in a group of about 11 small pigs. Low light and all bunched up, he was the only sure shot. At 134 lbs he's a good meat pig, looking forward to picking up some of Bobby Lee's sausage later in the week. This morning wiffed a shot at 2 nice boar that suprised us by slipping past in a small valley behind us as we were glassing the other direction . Might have been part of a group moving from the grain fields to the canyons that retreated as we lay in wait. I will hunt the ranch again but earlier in the year, After walking several canyons in 95 degree heat @ 9:00 am May or June sounds much better. One last thing the Sierra Game King bullets core and jacket separated much to my supprise on such a small pig. Has anyone had the same experience?

It was a great hunt ! didn't fit anyones schedule this time. Lucky for me i like myself so i wasn't lonely. The guide Mark was great by the way. That walk in cooler is a great thing to have on site. Bobby Lee sure thinks so.

Congrats.........no experience on light duty bullets as I stick to heavy duty bullets.........shoulder bone, hip bone....no problem.....they will pass thru & reach the vitals. I haven't lost a pig yet that I hit. Very nice pig on your harvest. Congrats again.
