Below is the topic ranchwife chose for this month's photo contest. Good luck everyone!

Members will post up to three images that symbolize images depicted in Robert Frost's poem, "Nothing Gold Can Stay." When they post, they will have to include the picture number and write out the line of the poem which is dipicted by their picture. Members can Google the poem title to obtain ideas for images. YouTube also has movie maker videos that will give members ideas for images. This poem was recited by Pony Boy in the movie and book, "The Outsiders," by S.E. Hinton.

I think this topic has the potential to have some awesome picures. Let me know if you don't think this will work and I'll give you my alternate plan.

Thanks!
Julie

Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

FYI, voting will probably be a bit late tomorrow.....so you will have extra time to get those last minute entries in!

Some nice shots so far!

Well, it looks like it's a tie between Wapiti and Caninelaw.....I don't know what happened to the poll in the conversion process and the numbering error was not caught until yesterday.

I've been tied up with other things. Sorry everyone for the delay and confusion. I'll post a topic for next month as soon as I get the tie breaking vote and e-mail the winner.....and try to figure out this new forum poll thing.....

Looks like the tie has been broken....wapiti will take the honors in this month's contest.

Congrats on a fine photo. If you get the chance, e-mail me with your choice of topic and I'll post in a new thread.

It looks like we may have to change the voting procedures as the new poll system only allows for ten options total. We'll re-evaluate when it nears the end of the month...

Thanks, some great photos again this time.
Maybe we should consider limiting it to one entry each? I think photography will pick up now that hunting seasons are over?

I suggest "Essence of Spring" anything that depicts Spring, wildflowers, weather, activities...

I'm ready for spring to get here!
