Bearmage,

It'll be good to have you along. Has Russ mentioned how good he is at dragging other folks' hogs?

Karstic,

Glad you'll make it! I was wondering if you would.

We are right now sitting on 44 apps.

I have three apps in purgatory (sent to the wrong place), and have not added them in yet... however, I think they're solid.

Looks like JHO is gonna fill the South Side!

Fritz,

I still haven't heard back from Barbara about that. The only other group scheduled on that weekend is a max of 10 hunters, though, so I don't think it's a big deal. I also think that the Turner's hunts usually stay at the lodge, so they probably won't be in the campground.

So... what will I get in my mail today?

We now have 48 paid applications.

That's right... I'm looking for two more in today's mail. Who will it be? Hmmmm...
<

Guys, I want to thank you all for your support and for working with me to get these apps in with a minimum of confusion. I was talking to Barbara, and she said she usually has a lot more trouble with guys sending the wrong thing, omitting paperwork, etc. All things considered ya'll did pretty good, and made my life relatively easy.

Looks like we'll almost definitely be setting up another one of these hunts for next year. More on that as it develops.

Anyway, to the guys who got in.. Congrats!
<

To those who didn't, well... there's a waiting list. A lot can come up between now and May 5 (last day to cancel).

Speck, considering the fact that I'm sitting here in KOREA and I know you will be filled by the time I get back I was wondering if I can be number one on the waiting list. I'm suppose to be flying back to the states this weekend or early next week. I'm not sure when I'll get your reply, so its no hurry on answer.

Thanks,
David

Well, some intrepid soul just overnighted their app, so I now have 49 apps... and the mail hasn't even come yet!

MN,

I'll be glad to add you to the waiting list.

As soon as I get today's mail, I'll post up the initial list and we'll just use that to sign people up. That way everybody can see their position on the list, so there (hopefully) won't be any dispute about who was first.

It will go in order of:
  • Any paid apps (beyond number 50) in today's mail
  • BrianS
  • MNFisherman
  • etc.

OKiedokie fellas! We hit 50!!!

Waiting list starts NOW.

If you would like to be added to the waiting list, simply add a post in this thread.

Important Note -

Because of the nature of this waiting list, please ONLY LIST YOURSELF.

No parties, and no posting for your buddies. One person at a time, and everybody else get in line.

You do NOT need an application to get on the list. If you don't have one, I'll send it as a space becomes available.

The list, as it stands right now is:
  • Brian S
  • MnFisherman

Add me too. JASON REYNOLDS, AKA Hogshot. I sure hope a couple of you get good news, like your daughter is getting married or your wife is having a baby or even a great promotion at work. That way I won't have to feel guilty about taking your spot.

Can I be on the bottom of the waiting list? I can't come. I just want to be able to say, "I was on the waiting list for the Pig-O-Rama".

Isn't that the beast you took to the fire inspection station last year and the exhaust pipe caught the inspectors rag on fire??

The Roadmisser in the tactical vehicle and Pit Dog in the Ralph Nader Nightmare...sounds like the makings of a demolition derby!

Yup, that's Bessie!

I hope the Fire Capton that Bessie set on fire is off that weekend. I know he will NEVER forget her.

Hey Steve,

Just make sure she's registered and insured. They apparently won't be allowing unregistered vehicles (like hunting jeeps) on the ranch anymore.

Speckmisser,
Can I get away with the "Ca minimum legal amount of insurance", or do they require Full protection?

I passed the smog test and I'm in the process of getting insured.

Thanks

Steve,

I'm pretty sure as long as you're highway legal, it'll be fine.

FYI, all you waiting-listers, I may have to pull out for a work-related commitment.
