Hi all,

I'm still typing on the micro-keyboard right now, which makes it a pain to do much on JHO. Just a quick update, though.

First, Joe and Russ, I got your apps. I can't get to my list right now, but I believe that puts us at 15 paid apps. Still plenty left, so come one, come all!

Duke, there is usually a gambrel available from someone. If you have one, bring it, but if not, don't buy one just for the event. I found that I have as much luck with sturdy stick, but we all have our preferences.

Joe, check some of last years threads for some great advice. I'd offer up a quick summary, but my hands are already starting to cramp up. Gonna have to go get a new keyboard.

I have used the Remmington Core Lokts in 165 gr from my '06 in the past. Shoots real well out of my gun and dropped the last hog (175lb sow) in her tracks.

I have some Federal hi energy 180's I carried during elk season that shoot well also so I may use those if I make this hunt (trying to).

Thanks for the advice BDB. Gonna try the 165gr Core-Lokt's along with a few others at the range this weekend, see what my new Savage likes best!

Run a brass cleaning patch through it and a dry before switching to a different load- with the first 3 shots of the different loads taken into account as flyers.

the only problem i have herein my office with the wireless is i get too comfortable and spill my beer all over the keyboard
