I'll be southbound with a loaded truck at 7:30 tonight. This just gets the juices flowing and pretty much puts an end to any plans I had to get any more work done today

I'm afraid that ain't how it works for most guys... typically, the more you hunt, the more you want to hunt... the more sucesses you have, the more you want to hunt... heck, if the wind is out of the north, south, east, or west, the more you want to hunt... but you know what they say... if ya can't beat him, JOIN HIM!
<

So, good news for Arrowslinger... does this mean he's wearing the French maid outfit for the rest of the weekend?

Well, he's allowed 2 hogs so the outfit may have to wait a bit. I hope he learned from our last trip. 3" Skinning blade - Bad. 7" knife - Good :

T-Minus 4 hours and the BDB mobile will be racing southward.

I will gladly remind you of your doubting nature at some point in the next year when I pass you the skinning knife and PIGIG and I sit back and crack a couple cold ones.

Now I AM dying! Can't believe I'll be in a mandatory all-hands meeting until 1700 tomorrow! Saturday morning, though... woohoo! Bring on the piggies!

So, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I don't think one pig is going to, *ah hem*, "get it out of his system".

Alright, i am absolutely beat from 4 days at choppers....yeah i know, no sympathy from anyone. So, here's my story: Lurediver and myself got up there wednesday night around 9 and met Pigig & Chopper at the cabin, we had us a drink or four and talked 'bout where the pigs have been & where we should try it the following morning. Chopper mentioned that the back part of the property should be a good place to start, knowing this spot pretty good and that the pigs usally travel the north or south side, lurediver and myself headed down there at first light....i went S & LD went N. I was hunting along a chamise thicket bordered by a large oak flat. Saw a yote and decided to see which way it went over the hill, standing up top, i thought it was a great place to catch pigs headin' to their beds in the a.m. As i was scanning around, i saw a black pig cross a small opening on a knoll some 300 yards away. Figured i had nothing to loose, but thought the pig was heading into the chamise. As i knocked an arrow and still hunted my was along a game trail, i heard a grunt and saw a bush move. I figured it was 40 yards away, then the pig apeared about 20 yards moving directly at me. I looked at him/her then down at my feet and realized i was standing on the trail he was coming on. He stopped at 17 yards, turned his head, and that's when i saw an opening between his shoulders w/ his head and neck out of the way....hit the release, and saw the arrow stick where i was aiming......
Now i'd like to say i was holding out for a trophy, but i knew it was well above my 12 1/2 lb minimum....anyway, that sucker let out a sweal, spun and headed directly down hill (not good!) I heard 'em stop, then could hear him breathing...figured he was maybe coming back up hill.......i was going to wait the mandatory hour, but after 2 minutes, figured i better have a look.........no blood! Came over the hill, saw a black rock that wasn't moving, and figured i'll go down there.
The pig looked small from up high and when i shot it, but luckily it was around 185-200lbs w/ 2.5" cutters.
<
My biggest pig to date! He ran 60 yards w/ a hole through his heart.
I think there might be a few more guys up there as i type, so good luck to them. There were plenty of pigs spotted, a real good time, and a few missed shots...but i'll let them tell ya 'bout that.
Thanks to pigig & lurediver for helping me get 'em out of there and thanks to Chopper for hosting another quality hunt.
<
LD will be posting the pics shortly.

It was great meeting and huntin with everyone! Chopper has a great Ranch with tones of sign and big pigs! Here's the pics of Arrow(slayer)'s Hog. It was fun hauling it up the mountain with Pigig and Arrowslinger! It's to bad I didn't get photos of Pigig's hog.
