JHO hunt at Choppers

Looks like we can get two groups in on this. Lets see some dates and we can sort this out based on dates. Looks like we have a few that wouldn't mind going before this year is out and a few that wouldn't mind waiting until next March. I'm open for any. I will call Chopper and see how his hunt goes this weekend and give you an update if he dosn't first. I will throw out some dates here soon.

The hunt date is April 1-3. This will allow us to hunt pigs and Turkeys. So the guys mentioned above are for this hunt. If you want jump over into the winter hunt, let me know. This way I will know who is going on what hunt.

If you want to hunt both, the price will be $500, thats two pigs and a turkey.

Since we have a enough interest. I am coordinating another hunt this winter if you're interested. Avaialable dates are weekend of Nov. 12th, Nove.20th or Dec. 10th.

What do you guys think about those dates?

We are going to limit both hunts to 8

Jesse, I agree with the limit of 8, that should still give us enough room. The April date sounds good to me but it may be a little close to the "used to be called" JHO HAM SLAM at Tejon. I doubt I would be able to swing both if they are within a month of each other. The Dec 10th date may actually work for me but I have to run that one by the missus since we are writing checks like crazy people for the upcoming wedding on November 12. I won't be able to confirm the Dec 10th date until late Nov but if there is a spot left and I can swing it I'll be there, don't hold a spot for me for that date though. I am in for the April 1-3rd hunt. Just let me know how much of a deposit and where to send it and by when.

I will keep an eye on this thread and if there is room in the "winter" hunt, I'd like to get in on that also...But I know there will be guys ahead of me on the list. If the hunt is in Dec and there is room, I'm in.

What Bubba means by this is if you want to hunt pigs and turkeys, it'll be $500.
Not $500 for both hunts.

But I am sure she will not go for it this year as I will be out hunting every opportunity for Pheasants till Santa comes.

I ALSO wish VERY MUCH to make the 2k5 JHO Ham Slam. If it does not come to pass I would like to be invited to Choppers.

I have the money set aside for either hunt for next year.. Santa's birthday is in January and I should be in the clear after that

Argggh! You guys are killing me! I'd love to say I'm in for the April hunt but I just can't do it. My wife is pregnant with #1 and the due date it April 1st. (Chopper, do you have cell and pager service down there?

) I may be able to make the December hunt but please keep me as a back up until the second week of November. I'll know more then.

Ok, I'm making a command decision( from my Submarine (SNN-716) days).

The winter hunt will be the Dec. 10 th weekend. (FYI It will be someone's b-day that weekend)

So now that we have two dates. Lets see who can put this into their scheudle. We need a minimum of three hunters for the winter.

I need to make a few more inquiries and I will post the two dates with names for each hunt.

Hey Foo' congrats on the bun in the oven. My hunting seasons may be a little messed up next year, we have "pulled the goalie" and are waiting to see what happens. I am going to try and make the Dec 10th hunt, hopefully it will come together, and yes there is cell coverage at the cabin.
